Your speedboat transfer from Male’ International Airport is a scenic, 55 minutes ride to this Eastern most resort island in the North Male’ Atoll. Seaplane transfers are also available.

The luxury accommodation is equipped with vaulted wooden roofs, wooden panels, and double beds (many romantic beds have canopies with mosquito netting); some of them are above water, some on the beach, and some offer jacuzzis in the bathrooms under the open sky.

20 Garden Rooms – 50 sqm…are located in a “U” shaped block near the Dhoni Bar pool, with a wooden sun deck and a privacy screen between the rooms, and share a shaded area beneath the coconut palms with a lovely view of the tropical gardens. Maximum Occupancy per Room is Two Adults with Two Children, or Three Adults.

77 Beach Villas – 50 sqm…are located on the beach, and are spacious, individual wooden bungalows offering a beautiful view of the lagoon, and feature a semi open-air bathroom. Maximum Occupancy per Room is Two Adults with Two Children, or Three Adults.

83 Jacuzzi Beach Villas – 80 sqm…are Beach Villas with a private, walled-in outdoor area featuring a Jacuzzi for two “under the stars”, a wooden sundeck with chaise lounges, a shade Pavilion, a small tropical garden, a four poster bed and CD player. Maximum Occupancy per Room is Three Adults.

27 Water Front Villas – 60 sqm…are located on the beach at the water’s edge, with an upgraded bedroom including a four poster bed, a spacious bathroom with double sinks, a private, walled-in outdoor area featuring a Jacuzzi for two “under the stars”, a wooden sundeck, chaise lounges, a shade umbrella, tropical plants, a private sundeck with stairs into the sea and a spectacular view of the lagoon. Maximum Occupancy per Room is Three Adults.

77 Jacuzzi Water Villas – 85 sqm…are located over-the-water, in the lagoon…a short walk along your private jetty to this secluded hideaway featuring a large bedroom, a sitting area with a DVD player, a tea/coffee/espresso machine; a spacious bathroom with double sinks, a Jacuzzi for two, a private sundeck and stairs into the sea. Maximum Occupancy per Room is Three Adults.

2 Honeymoon Suites – 90 sqm…are located over-the-water, in the lagoon…a short “dhoni” boat ride from shore. These exclusive, luxuriously appointed Suites feature the same facilities as the Jacuzzi Water Villa, plus a living room/dining room area, a stocked kitchenette for breakfast, a bathroom with bath and bidet, your private “lagoon” pool and a room service menu for dining on your sundeck/terrace.

Restaurants & Bars in Meeru Island Resort

There are two restaurants, both with the same menu, where you enjoy all-you-can-eat buffet style meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are a variety of international and regional cuisines to please everyone’s taste. The buffet lines include live action cooking stations where food is prepared to your order. Soups, breads and desserts are homemade and the fresh, tropical fruits are delicious. You are assigned to your own table throughout your stay so that you may enjoy your privacy, or you are welcome to invite friends to join you. Friday night dinner is Maldivian night with a themed menu and waiters in traditional dress. Sunday breakfast welcomes you with complimentary Sparkling Wine.

The Farivalhu Restaurant is for guests staying in the Garden rooms, the Beach Villas, the Jacuzzi Beach Villas (100’s), & the Jacuzzi Water Villas (300’s) and is located in the center of the island. It provides spacious seating in the traditional open-air style with sand floor and thatched roof. There is also outdoor seating on a wooden deck.

The Maalan Restaurant is for guests staying in the adults only Jacuzzi Beach Villas (600’s), Water Villas and Jacuzzi Water Villas (700’s). Located on the northern end of the island, the Restaurant is divided into 3 separate dining areas that provide spacious seating in the traditional, open-air style with sand floor and thatched roofs.

Asian Wok Restaurant & Bar – Experience Teppanyaki hot plates cuisine at Asian Wok Restaurant during your stay at Meeru Island Resort & Spa in the Maldives. The chefs will grill, flip and cook tiger prawns, white fish, scallops, lobster, tuna, meats and an assort of fresh vegetables on a flaming table in front of you. The Teppanyaki table at the over-the-water Asian Wok Restaurant seats 8 guests and overlooks Meeru’s lagoon for an exciting and unforgettable experience of Japanese cuisine in the Maldives. Your choice of dishes can be selected from Asian Wok’s a la carte menu to be prepared fresh, in a theatrical display and to be served right from the teppan hot plate. All menus are also served with salad, miso soup, vegetables and fried rice.

Teppanyaki is available daily at the Asian Wok Restaurant during Dinner | Teppanyaki reservation must be made before 12 noon.

Hot Rock Restaurant & Bar is located on the eastern side of Meeru Island Resort & Spa and on the Pavilion Bar Pool deck. With a selection of delectable meats to choose from, served on a ceramic hot rock to cook at your table, the Restaurant provides an exceptional dining experience with stunning views of the infinity pool and ocean. Sip on a refreshing cocktail and browse through Hot Rock’s a la carte menu, which provides appetizing starters, a range of seafood delights and a selection of supple mains to sizzle at your table. You will get to cook your meal on a pre-heated hot stone (a lava rock) on your own table, to your perfection. To cook on ‘the rock’, you will be provided with a heated rock, placed in the specially designed board on which you can place your chosen sea food, fish, meat and vegetables on top and cook to your desired level. The rock is hot enough to cook your chosen cut of meat to your own taste and the Restaurant offers a range of meat and game including such exotics as Kangaroo Tenderloin and Ostrich Filet.

Meeru Café at the Dhoni Bar Pool featuring ice cream, pastries, specialty coffees and teas and Panini sandwiches. Don’t miss the “Cold Stone” ice cream teppanyaki! Spending the day poolside at Dhoni Bar Pool? Order a delicious Tropical Waffle, served with fresh fruit and natural yogurt or a Cheese Berry Pancake, served with cream chese and mixed berry ragout. Delight in a refreshing Fruit Juice or colorful Milkshake, or have a freshly brewed coffee while you enjoy the stunning view of the ocean. Children will especially enjoy the variety of ice cream flavors and the option to choose your own toppings! Meeru Cafe offers treats for everyone to enjoy. The Dhoni Bar is the most popular meeting place on the island and one of the best bars in the Maldives. The Bar is located on the beach, near the water’s edge and features modern, tropical décor and furnishings. There is also outdoor seating on a wooden deck. Catch the magical sunset and unwind to the Live Soft Music by candlelight. Guests on our All Inclusive Plus package and staying in the Garden Rooms, Beach Villas and Jacuzzi Beach Villas (100s) enjoy 24 Hour “Afternoon” Tea served “all day/all night” in the Dhoni Bar. With a Fresh Water Swimming Pool, the Dhoni Bar features infinite views of the tranquil ocean. Near the Dhoni Bar Pool is the Children’s Wading Pool, no more than 0.5 meters in depth for kids to enjoy on their holiday at Meeru. Naturally, parents must keep an eye on their children when near the pool. Poolside service is available for you to order refreshing beverages and snacks, while you enjoy relaxing moments by the pool.

Kakuni Bar – On the beach opposite the main Reception, including a Sports Bar with table tennis, billiards, football, darts, chess, board games and satellite TV coverage of international sporting events and a disco. There is also outdoor seating on a wooden deck.

Uthuru Bar – On the beach beside at the Northern end of the island, near the Maalan Restaurant. Only for adults of age 18 years and older.

Pavilion Bar – Located right on the beach next to the 300’s Jacuzzi Water Villa jetty. A cozy, little Bar in midst tall coconut palm trees.
