The entire resort is built following traditional Maldivian architectural principles, from the concept of individual domains rather than guestrooms to the 45 degree pitched thatched roofs, and the use of coral walls. Entry to each residen­tial domain is via its own turquoise gate with traditional Maldivian style coral walls and lush vegetation guaranteeing complete privacy. Four Seasons Resort at Landaa Giraavaru received approval from the Maldivian Government to recycle the coral used from a redevelopment project and painstakingly revived the ancient Maldivian building techniques on the external walls of the villas. Dense surrounding foliage complements the Resort’s intricate thatched roof pavilions to ensure that the focus remains firmly on the natural landscape, one of Landaa Giraavaru’s most important features.

Blu – Located at the western end of the island overlooking a 2-kilometre (1.2-mile) lagoon, Blu embraces the essence of the Maldives as the place where the ocean meets the sky. From the restaurant pavilion on one side or the Blu Bar pavilion on the other, you can watch the sun sink below the horizon. The restaurant serves light antipasti, pizza and pasta during the day and fine Italian cuisine in the evening.

Al Barakat – Named after Abu Al Barakat Yusuf Al Barbari, a North African scholar who made Baa Atoll his home in the 12th century, Al Barakat serves authentic Arabian cuisine. The restaurant is built over water, off the main jetty. A Shisha Bar is located on the ground level. The main dining area on the rooftop features comfortable low seating.

Specialties – Al Barakat offers Lebanese mezze, grill items and North African specialties. Shisha Bar serves Arabian coffee and features authentic Shisha water pipes.

Specialties – Contemporary Italian fare is served at lunch and dinner; homemade gelati are served poolside throughout the day. A children’s menu is also available.

Café Landaa – Overlooking the swimming pool and beach, the three thatch-roofed pavilions of Café Landaa are separated by reflecting ponds. For breakfast, lunch, and dinner, our chefs create exquisite delights with eastern and western influences.

Specialties – Asian and regional specialties from the tandoor and curry kitchen; in the evening, teppanyaki is served at a dedicated counter in a dramatic water garden adjacent to the restaurant.

Fuego Grill – Located adjacent to the seawater pool and overlooking the eastern coast of the island, Fuego Grill is open for dinner. The restaurant offers fresh catch of the day as well as a wide selection of organic and prime cut meats, salads, sandwiches and Asian dishes from an open kitchen pavilion. Teak tables and chairs are set in the sand facing the sea.

Located at the heart of the island and stretching down to the sea, the Spa complex occupies an elevated 2.5 acre site, with 10 individual thatched treatment pavilions (4 over water, 3 in a lush garden setting, 3 in the Ayurvedic Retreat), each with its own relaxation area, plunge pool, steam- and outdoor shower. Numerous pathways throughout the surrounding beautiful gardens allow for leisurely walks pre and post treatment.
