The island is a mere 8 hectare jewel located on the northern part of Dhaalu atoll, just 30 minutes seaplane ride from Male’. Unlike most other resorts, aaaVeee Nature’s Paradise features Maldivian style eco-bungalows designed and built with a combination of local materials that blend with her natural environment. Majority of the island has been kept untouched to provide the guest up-close-and-personal the ‘typical’ island paradise that is the Maldives.

In Maldivian language, the word “aavee” means, revival. The word is used to reflect something or a concept when it is revived in modern day. The concept used in aaaVeee Nature’s Paradise Resort was developed to bring back the original resort concept that was the trademark of tourism industry when it started in the 70’s.

Accommodation in aaaVeee Nature’s Paradise

A total of 30 eco-friendly rooms are available with three categories of accommodation options that are unique to aaaVeee Nature’s Paradise.

12 GOATHI Beach Villa(134 sq.m.) – These are individual bungalows designed with a traditional Maldivian architectural style. Coconut timber and other local wood materials used in the construction bring the local Maldivian architecture in its true glory. These rooms are a modernized version of a traditional Maldivian house. The name “Goathi” in local language means a plot of land with a house. Each room has an outdoor private veranda with a local swing, something that is rarely seen in any resort. To ensure maximum privacy, each Goathi has a fence on either side made from coconut thatch. The open air front yard outside the room has a separate resting area with chairs and a table where you can have a private meal, sip a drink or read a book in the full comfort of total privacy. 16 KOTARI Villas (134 sq.m.) – These are the cheapest accommodation options available. Similar to the other options, majority of the woodwork features coconut timber. The coconut trees that were removed from the island for construction have been used, making this a very eco-friendly room type. Each room has an outdoor coconut wooden deck with privacy screens. Similarly, the use of locally made rope and other parts from the coconut trees make this a truly Maldivian room. Even the curtains have been selected with bright colours and materials that were used in local houses more than 30 years ago. The light fittings, sofas and chairs inside the room are all handmade using local timber. Located slightly inside the island, some of these decks provide beautiful views of the beaches. Though these rooms are not as spacious as the other two options and located close to each other, maximum privacy is guaranteed by the thick vegetation between the rooms and the fences between decks. KOTARI KOLHU Suite – Two large spacious family rooms are available with a large decking outdoor for the family. These rooms are also connectable if required. This provides the option for large families who want to stay together. With a more contemporary modern style, the rooms’ interiors are more spacious, with an outdoor shower area. The surroundings are fenced with trees to give maximum privacy. These rooms also have a private local swing made from the finest local timber, most of which were from the trees from the island itself. Kotari Kolhu is is deal for those traveling with families or who wants more space inside the room.

There is a semi-open air toilet and bath with a spacious space for a whole family to make use of the amenities inside. Max Occupancy: 03 Adults or 02 Adults + 01 Child.

Restaurants & Bars in aaaVeee Nature’s Paradise

VEERU Main Restaurant – Set in the midst of the lush vegetation, not far from the beach and the main arrival jetty is the restaurant, which features contemporary Maldivian architecture, with the use of sustainable resources in its architectural design. Coconut and other local timber derived from the island has been the primary focus which serve cuisines from all over the world. Simply indulge your taste buds with the daily buffets served both indoor and outdoor settings. At aaaVee Nature’s Paradise, you can be assured that the restaurant provides the best quality of food available, freshly supplied to the island. Wherever possible, the chefs opt for local sources for ingredients.

VARABADHI Specialty Restaurant – Set away from the rest of the island, is the unique A’la Carte restaurant located on the eastern tip. This restaurant is for those who want to enjoy a private meal of their choice when they don’t feel like eating in the main restaurant. The restaurant is very close to the eastern beach, which is a large sandy area that dance like a fish tail from season to season. Here you can either have your meals indoors or on the deck or on this beautiful beach overlooking the island of Rinbudhoo.

VAKARU Main Bar – Just few steps from the main restaurant is the signature oval bar. Available in the bar is a rich collection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to suit everyone. From the bar counter to the furniture and lighting, everything has been handmade with local materials to reflect the true beauty of the Maldivian architecture which made the first Maldivian resorts so unique.

VINDHU Spa is located away from the guest areas, and are infused in the lush greenery of the island. The spa consists of a main lobby and relaxing area based on the island with a huge water pond to bring you closer to Nature’s. The two overwater treatment rooms provide breathtaking views where the guest can gaze at the lagoon and the surrounding environment while being pampered over water to provide a floating experience. The treatment rooms overlook the beautiful south lagoon of the island, with an infinity view of Dhaalu atoll and her beautiful islands.

GURUVA – aaaDiving & Water Sports Centre

Diving at aaaVeee Nature’s Paradise is all about fun and enjoying. Divers of all levels can enjoy the best dives sites in north of Dhaalu atoll. If you are a beginner, we have special introductory courses that new divers can try before deciding to undertake the full course. For certified divers, a number of diving options are available from house reef dives to the more advance divers to nearby reefs and channels that feature some of the best underwater geography and marine life.

Snorkeling equipment is available for a nominal rent and guests are free to snorkel the house reef at their own will. However, for those who need assistance, snorkelling lessons and guides will be more than happy to lend a helping hand whenever you need. The resort also organizes specialised snorkeling trips to nearby reefs and selected sites.

A range of motorized and non-motorized water sports activities are available from morning till sunset. Activities you could try include jet ski, para sailing, canoeing, banana boat ride, water ski, fun tube and power snorkeling.

aaaVeee Nature’s Paradise is located on the north part of Dhaalu atoll, approximately 150 km south west of Velana International Airport. It is also 60 km south of Maamigili International Airport, and 25 km north of the proposed Kudahuvadhoo domestic airport. Only a short 35 minutes seaplane ride from Velana International Airport will get you to the most eco-friendly Nature’s resort in the Maldives. If you are traveling from Kudahuvadhoo airport, a short 20 minute speedboat ferry or ride will get you here.
